To quote Jod Na Nawood: “Let’s gooooo!”
Adventure waits for no one and that includes us. On December 2, at 6 p.m. PT, experience the two-episode premiere Star Wars: Skeleton Crew as an early gift for fans (like you!) who literally can’t wait to meet this new squad. Created by Jon Watts and Chris Ford, the brand-new Star Wars story introduces a crew of murderous pirates in the era of the New Republic and six new characters — Jod (Jude Law), Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and SM-33 (Nick Frost) — on a rollicking journey among the stars.

Hunters on PC
Star Wars: Hunters coming to PC

Grab your nearest controller or keyboard and get ready to take your modified droideka on a rampage around an Ewok village because Star Wars: Hunters is officially coming to PC via Steam in January 2025!
You’ve asked, and they’ve answered. The colorful and fast-paced world of Hunters, created by Zynga in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, will now be available to a whole new crowd of gamers. As part of the roll-out, the battlefields of Vespaara will be leveled up with higher resolution textures and shadows, as well as higher rendering quality and high detail PC layer in select battlefields. Keyboard, mouse, and wireless control support will also be added, as well as keybinding.
In other words, Hunters has never been better (and it’s already the greatest new multiplayer game this side of the Outer Rim).
Star Wars: Hunters debuted earlier this year on Nintendo Switch and mobile gaming platforms, immersing fans in quick (and rather explosive) combat. It also featured some of the craziest characters ever seen in a galaxy, far far away. Whether you prefer playing as two Jawas stacked on top of each other (Utooni) or a cunning droid who believes he can wield the Force (J-3DI), you’ll quickly find the preferred Hunter or two for you!
Take a look below at the new PC announcement trailer, which showcases the high-energy Hunters gameplay and visual improvements to these galactic skirmishes.
Star Wars: Hunters is currently available as a free download for the Nintendo Switch, as well as the App Store and Google Play. The PC build of Hunters will be available on Steam as a free download as part of their Early Access program on January 27, 2025. source
Dodge by Waititi
Taika Waititi dodges question about Star Wars project
One of the most peculiar and controversial filmmakers today is Taika Waititi, recognized for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, but also for other films such as ‘Next Goal Wins’ and ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, which also stands out thanks to a television series. One of the filmmaker’s most talked about projects is the ‘Star Wars’ film that Lucasfilm announced in 2020 that he was going to develop. More than four years have passed since the announcement and there has been no more news about it, but in a recent interview with The Playlist, the filmmaker spoke about it, leaving several possibilities on the table.
Waititi was attached to several projects in development like his own “Star Wars” film that he was also connected to write, a “Flash Gordon” reboot, and an adaptation of “Akira” – all of which have not seen any movement for quite some time. When asked about the status of these projects, Waititi was predictably cagey. Are they alive? Are they dead? Who knows.
When asked about the status of these projects, Waititi was predictably cagey. Are they alive? Are they dead? Who knows.
“What was ever alive? What is death? You know, death is just a new opportunity. More life to grow and flourish,” Waititi joked. “Everything’s always in development. My advice for any filmmaker is, ‘Just say yes to everything.’ Because, you know, things come and go. And you never know what stage things are. And I’ve been attached to things that have disappeared for three years and then bubbled back up. I’m like, ‘Oh, I thought that thing was dead. Now I’ve got to go do that again.” source
Trivia!
Did you know?
"What was the name of the standard rifle carried by the clone troopers?“
“DC-15A.”
Comic Book of the Week
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Adaptation
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation is an upcoming comic miniseries adaptation of the film of the same name. The series was to be written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Will Sliney, and published by Marvel Comics. The first issue was originally scheduled to be released in June 2020. Houser, noting that she had been a lifelong Star Wars fan, said it was an honor to be asked to write the comic, and stated that the comic would include scenes and material that was absent from the movie.
On April 1, 2020, Marvel Comics was forced to stall their publishing line due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eventually, Marvel announced they would resume their publishing line on May 27 of that year but did not announce a new release date for any of this series' postponed issues. On May 4, 2023, cover artist Phil Noto shared textless covers he had drawn for the series.
On November 20, 2024, Marvel announced that after five years in limbo, they will finally publish the adaptation of The Rise of Skywalker by February of 2025. source
Jody Houser:
"As a lifelong Star Wars fan, it was an honor to be asked to be a part of wrapping up the Skywalker saga with Marvel Comics. We have some fun plans to add scenes and material that weren't seen in the movie."
