New Andor S2 and Skeleton Crew footage

A new trailer has been released for major Disney Plus series arriving in the next year, and it’s given us a sneak peak at Andor Season 2 and Skeleton Crew.
There’s an early glimpse of Andor about 10 seconds in, which has Cassian telling someone “Let’s make it worth it.” On 21 seconds, we see the kids in Skeleton Crew open a door to the old ship covered in vines and other flora — this might have been included in earlier trailers — while Wim tells his friends “This could be a real adventure.” We then see the ship taking off and flying to a space station, which is likely the pirate port where they find Jod Na Nawood.
We also see the Shistavanen firing twin blaster pistols along with, Vane, Jawas and other footage of a ship under fire on a desert planet and the kids all looking up at something in a terrified manner. Jod is also yelling about pirates in another shot.
It’s another minute before there’s more Star Wars content on 1:24, when Andor Season 2 reappears. We see stormtroopers descending steps into a square — it looks like Ferrix — and a woman cries “Is there no one who can help us?!” That’s followed by Bix telling someone that “We need a pilot” right before we see Cassian stealing a TIE Avenger (its debut in a canon Star Wars project) right out of an Imperial hangar bay, as Luthen’s voice plays over the top of it accusing Cassian that “You’re thinking like a thief.” The next shot is Cassian responding angrily as he claims: “I’m thinking like a soldier.”
That shot is followed by Cassian shooting at someone in the same city we saw in the opening shot and appearing to cause an explosion, and we return to Luthen’s face as he tells Cassian: “Then think like a leader.” We then see Cassian striding through what looks a lot like the Rebel base on Yavin IV and a separate shot of Bix and others looking back at something.
That’s pretty much everything from the trailer. While we’re bound to get more Skeleton Crew footage over the next three weeks before it debuts on December 3, that’s probably the most we’ll see of Andor Season 2 for a few more months. Check back here for more news about both shows. source
Quote of the Week
“I’d rather die trying to take them down than die giving them what they want.”
Upcoming projects?
Thanks to Culture Crave newsletter for creating this infographic about upcoming Star Wars projects. This was brought up by Hollywood Reporter which is trying to put everything in one place and how the future of the franchise is looking right now.
Some potential problems are that there are multiple films in development that overlap characters and timelines. This means one project could impact the other from happenning and some writers are aware of it, while others are not.
Rey is the future of the franchise and it will be hard for writers to make nostalgia again as they are running out of ideas. This means they need to decide if they want to make standalone movies, or continue Skywalker Saga.

New Trilogy
Star Wars Trilogy deal with Simon Kinberg to write and produce

Deadline.com is bringing us some exclusive news.
Lucasfilm has closed a deal with Simon Kinberg to develop a trilogy of Star Wars films. Kinberg will write the trio and produce them with Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy.
This will comprise Episodes 10-12 of The Skywalker Saga that began with George Lucas’s 1977 first film, which, along with Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, reshaped the global blockbuster game. Insiders disputed my intel that Kinberg will continue that storyline, saying this instead will begin a new saga, and sit alongside percolating Star Wars projects with James Mangold, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Taika Waititi and Donald Glover. As usual, Lucasfilm and Disney are not commenting.
Kinberg previously worked with Lucasfilm in co-creating with Dave Filoni and Carrie Beck the Emmy-nominated animated series Star Wars Rebels that ran for four seasons from 2014-2018. He was also a consultant on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, the J.J. Abrams-directed film that revived the franchise in 2015. He has also been heavily involved in other franchises as writer and/or producer. That includes a decade spent on the X-Men films and the Logan spinoff film that starred Hugh Jackman and was directed by Mangold. He was also producer of the first two Deadpool films, and exec producer of the 2024 blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine; he produced the Ridley Scott-directed The Martian‘ and has scripted such films as Mr & Mrs Smith and co-wrote the film that launched the Sherlock Holmes franchise with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. He also produced the Kenneth Branagh Agatha Christie film trilogy that started with Murder on the Orient Express. In short, he’s comfortable in the franchise sphere.
Upcoming, Kinberg is producing Paramount’s remake of Stephen King’s The Running Man, which just went into production. Edgar Wright is directing Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy and Lee Pace. He also is attached to produce Paramount’s Star Trek movie directed by Toby Haynes and penned by Seth Grahame-Smith. source
