Daisy Ridley: "I know the story, and I am very excited."
Daisy says its all very political in Star Wars.
Hello there!
Good morning Star Wars lovers. Wookiee Weekly again with the new issue and more interesting Star Wars content for their fans.

Rey of sunshine.
Daisy Ridley on her new Star Wars movie: “I know the story and I am very excited.”

Daisy Ridley as Rey
As Daisy Ridley continues her press tour for Cleaner, she has shared her thoughts on the new writer for her upcoming Star Wars film, George Nolfi, and has also given an update on the progress of the movie.
“I have not read the latest script, but I know what’s happening, and I know the story, and I think what feels really good is that George is a phenomenal writer, I think we’re making sure that this story is the best way, this script is the best way to tell the story, and I think it will be worthwhile. for everyone watching it, and I am very excited, yeah.”
Daisy Ridley may be best known for her role as Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, but in the years since The Force Awakens, she’s been able to show her range goes to the Outer Rim and back. She’s played a reimagined Shakespearean heroine in Ophelia, a determined swimmer in The Young Woman and the Sea, and a dystopian anomaly in Chaos Walking.
Now, she’s trying her hand at action with Cleaner, an action movie that asks the question “What if Die Hard, but John McClane is a badass female window cleaner?” The comparison isn’t lost on Ridley. “I called it Dry Shard because we were supposed to be on the Shard,” Ridley tells Inverse, referring to the iconic building in the London skyline.
But spreading her wings doesn’t mean Ridley is done with Star Wars altogether. Ridley is returning to Star Wars movies with a new sequel film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, colloquially known as New Jedi Order. source

Sigourney Weaver teases her role in The Mandalorian & Grogu
In an interview with GamesRadar+ while promoting Apple TV+’s The Gorge, Sigourney Weaver has spoken publicly about her role in the The Mandalorian & Grogu, sharing “I play a wonderful character who is, you know, in a position of authority”.
Sigourney Weaver says she never really thought about joining the Star Wars franchise, but when she was offered a role in the upcoming movie The Mandalorian & Grogu, there was one teeny tiny thing that made her sign on: Baby Yoda.

“I get to have scenes with a little Grogu which is probably why I did the movie, and he’s a little badass too. It’s going to be wonderful for people to see what Grogu is up to now because he’s grown up a little bit and is capable of much more than maybe we think just watching the series.”
As Weaver did not appear in The Mandalorian series, we still don’t know for sure who her character is, although it has been reported that Weaver is playing a New Republic Colonel Bishop in the film. When asked for more on her mysterious role, Weaver replies, “I play a wonderful character who is, you know, in a position of authority. And I have to send the Mandalorian out on a mission on the Outer Rim where all the bad stuff happens.”
With so much experience working on big sci-fi franchises like Alien and Avatar, it is surprising that Weaver didn’t join the galaxy far, far away sooner. “I admire [Star Wars], but I don’t sit around wishing I was in another franchise, because I’ve been so lucky to be in some wonderful ones,” Weaver adds. “But at the time, when I was offered it, I was delighted. I’m a great fan of John Favreau. I was already a great fan of The Mandalorian.” source

Koo Stark and Anthony Forrest suing Lucasfilm for $190 million

Koo Stark, the former girlfriend of Prince Andrew
Koo Stark, the former girlfriend of Prince Andrew, who played Camie Marstrap in the original Star Wars film, along with Anthony Forrest, who played Laze ‘Fixer’ Loneozner and a Sandtrooper, are suing Lucasfilm for $190 million for “profitting off their likenesses”. Their scenes were cut from the theatrical release, later to appear on 1998’s Star Wars: Behind the Magic Interactive CD-ROM. Both characters appeared in The Book of Boba Fett in 2021, with the roles recast by Mandy Kowalski and Skyler Bible.
The 68-year-old actress – who dated Prince Andrew in the early 1980s before his marriage to Sarah, Duchess of York – starred as Camie Marstrap in George Lucas’ 1977 film Star Wars (later retitled Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope), but her scenes were cut from the final edit.
The scenes in question have resurfaced online in recent times and the character has appeared in various spin-offs over the years, with litigation filed in an LA court claiming the production company has profited off Stark’s likeness.
The legal action was brought by actor Anthony Forrest, who starred as the deleted character Fixer in scenes that were eventually cut. It’s claimed both Stark and Forrest’s “intellectual property rights were exploited” when the scenes became available online and on DVD.
Forrest, who also played the role of a sandtrooper in the film, uttered the line, “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.” – however, he allegedly received no compensation for his work.
Forrest, 73, went on to appear in the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. source
